In the Princess Bride, the Brute Squad was a team of outlaws that were hired to kidnap Buttercup. When they saw that their ship was being followed, they stopped to climb the Cliffs of Insanity. The man following them, Dread Pirate Roberts climbed the cliffs, where he defeated Inigo Montoya in a duel, Fezzik in a wrestling match, and Vizzini in a battle of wits. Dread Pirate Roberts was then able to rescue Buttercup.
