Matt Trakker is the founder and leader of M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand). He had initially helped his brother and Miles Mayhem in the development of M.A.S.K.'s technology. Mayhem killed Trakker's brother and stole half of the technology to form the organization V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem). Matt created M.A.S.K. in his brother's honor to use his share of the technology to fight crime and counter the threats from Mayhem's evil organization. M.A.S.K.'s leading vehicle is the Thunderhawk, which transforms from a red Chevy Camaro sports car to a gull-winged door jet fighter.
